About the Project

Khmer Transliteration Engine (សុីងខ្មែរ) Typing Khmer on mobile has never felt as smooth as Hiragana or Pinyin—so I set out to fix that. I’m building a Khmer Transliteration Engine (សុីងខ្មែរ) that turns phonetic input into accurate Khmer suggestions in real time. Under the hood, the engine searches across three layers—exact match, prefix, and fuzzy—to always surface at least three quality suggestions. It’s powered by curated, publicly available data and tuned for speed on-device.
